Brimstone Recreation has become one of the premier ATV and Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) riding destinations in the country with its over 19,100 acres of groomed trails nestled in the remote mountains of the Northeast Tennessee and the heart of Appalachia. Brimstone Recreation offers over 200 miles of groomed OHV trails and has added 4-5 new trails in 2009 that are categorized into three ranges; easy, moderate and difficult. Brimstone also added 20 miles of dirt bike trails that the Volunteer Riders out of Knoxville laid over a 3 month period, to give their club and other dirt bike clubs around the Southeast an awesome area to ride. Sunday’s are really popular!

Brimstone Recreation offers their comprehensive Brimstone Trail Map which will give you information to plan your tour of the wilderness! Get ready to enjoy gorgeous overlooks, geological wonders, and awesome trails. In the spring and fall, get ready for some awesome views and dramatic color! The spring offers redbuds and dogwoods which dot the trails, hills, and valleys. The fall’s blanket of color draping the mountains is spectacular. Brimstone, owned and operated by Mark Love and managed by daughter Erika Schmelter, started back in 2005 with a vision to offer the best OHV trail system and give families and OHV enthusiasts a place to play, enjoy the outdoors, and create memories.

Brimstone has grown to over 10,000 annual visitors with folks coming from all over the country, Canada, and France! Awesome customer service, new trails, rustic cabins, RV sites, campsites, and guide service are available with restaurants and shopping nearby. The nearby town of Huntsville, TN welcomes all ATV and outdoor enthusiasts. Yamaha USA uses Brimstone as one of their main demonstration sites and it has become their premier demo spot in the country during Brimstone’s popular Annual White Knuckle event held every Memorial Day Weekend. This year it will be held May 22-24 and will include lots of fun for the entire family. The 2009 event will include two days of music, guided rides, drag races, sled pulls, mud bogs, food and lots of fun. Over 3,000 folks enjoyed the event in 2008.

2009 plans to be even bigger including two evenings of fantastic music, including popular Daryle Singletary and the band Ricochet. Is this the next Woodstock of the OHV world in the future?
